These two individuals sell via the internet in several languages. They've recently become DPCA Members (adding considerably to their credibility when they should have NONE) and they always breed to top US studs. They have a good act going and more than a few individuals have been taken in by them.....

I've been working with a guy in Southern California for MONTHS now - who gave Vicki a $1250.00 deposit for a puppy sired by Lex Luthor over a year ago. Some weeks after Daniel sent his deposit for the Lex puppy, Vicki sent him a contract he was uncomfortable with - and in addition, Lex had been "replaced" as the sire of the litter by his son, Ch Amonde's Tidal Wave Catriel. Since Daniel's deposit was for a Lex puppy - he asked for his money back.

As an aside, I have several emails here from Patricia Munoz (manager, Lex Luthor Kennels). Apparently, Vicki contacted them to breed FANTAHAUSEN JADE to Lex Luthor and when she was given their requirements, they never heard from her again. HOWEVER, that didn't stop her from advertising on the internet that she expected puppies from Lex and she sold the whole litter based on that claim. Later, she spread the word to her puppy buyers that Lex could not service her bitch due to a prostrate problem - thus the decision to use his son, Catriel. That information, of course, was NOT true and Vicki managed to incur the wrath of Patricia Munoz and Norberto Diaz - since, instead of just telling the truth (she didn't want to pay for Lex Luthor!), she instead assigned blame to a prostrate problem Lex NEVER had....

Anyway, Daniel was assured he'd get his deposit back and from there, it goes downhill at warp speed. Vicki and William both sent Daniel accusatory emails outlining reasons (none based in fact) why they'd suddenly decided he shouldn't get his money back. At this point, Daniel found me and I offered to help. A few emails to William resulted in admissions that YES, they did promise to refund Daniel's deposit and that YES, they would in fact, do that, post haste. Shortly afterward, however, I get a fax at MIDNIGHT one evening - purporting to be from their attorney - threatening to sue me if I didn't stop emailing them!!!

And they couldn't even spell "attorney".

To make a long story short - at least 3 times that I'm aware of, Vicki promised Daniel his refund would be sent by Fed Ex. Twice it wasn't. And then when it did arrive - there was a note enclosed asking him not to cash the check until November 7. He waited. The check bounced. In the interm, while in Colorado I met another couple who'd also given Fantahausen a puppy deposit ($750.00). Same story all over again. I mean - EXACTLY the same. Money's coming - don't cash the check til a certain date - check made out in Canadian funds (considerably less of a return than was originally paid) - check no good.

When Journey was bred to one of the Fantahausen bitches - Texas and Betty very nearly got stuck with a $600 vet bill - and in fact, it took over a year of negotiating for them to finally reimburse the stud owners for out of pocket expenses on their bitch. As if this isn't enough - at the National in Fitchburg last year, Vicki bought about $250.00 worth of merchandise from SCREEN ANTICS - Gabi Wentzel.....then slunk off back to Canada with her prizes and STOPPED PAYMENT on Gabi's check. Gabi has been trying to collect her money ever since. (Go to Gabi's web site to see a copy of the check from FANTAHAUSEN DOBERMANS).

There is NO talking to these people. Every other word out of their mouths is a lie and every promise is made knowing full well they will not act on it. Their advertising is false and misleading and is geared simply at selling puppies. They are IN VIOLATION of MULTIPLE DPCA Code of Ethics guidelines and should be brought up on charges and expelled from the parent club. There is a pattern of deceit, fraud, and thievery going on here - via the internet - ALL OVER THE WORLD - that boggles the reasonable mind. They "use" their DPCA membership to lend further credibility to their operation as legitimate, reputable breeders. The Average Joe puts a certain amount of trust in them because of their affiliation with DPCA - and they definitely don't deserve it! They are a POCK MARK and an OOZING SORE on reputable breeders EVERYWHERE.These people are BAD for the breed - BAD for the DPCA - and as I understand it - have a number of problems with the Canadian Kennel Club to boot. Same shit - new day - new victims.

If YOU have a Fantahausen experience to share, let me hear from you.

Cheri
